Evandro Cruz Silva

Evandro Cruz Silva was born in São Vicente, São Paulo, in 1992. He is a sociologist, holds a PhD in Social Sciences from Unicamp, and is a writer. He was one of the winners of the National Essay Prize from the magazine Serrote, in 2020, and selected for Forbes Under 30, in 2021, in the Visual Arts and Literature category. He is the author of the book of short stories Praia artificial (Patuá, 2021) and the novel A dor nas costas (Edições Sesc, 2023). O embranquecimento (Patuá, 2024) is his debut novel and was awarded the Cultural Action Program of the Secretariat of Culture, Economy and Creative Industry of the State of São Paulo (ProAC).
