Édouard Louis

Édouard Louis* was born in the working-class village of Hallencourt, France, in 1992. The author of six novels graduated from École des Hautes Études en sciences sociales and debuted in literature in 2014 with O fim de Eddy (Tusquets, 2018). An important exponent of contemporary autofiction, Édouard writes from from personal experiences to produce hard-hitting accounts, in which homosexuality and class injustices are portrayed through honest and sharp writing. In Brazil, they were also published História da violência (Tusquets, 2020), Quem mantou meu pai (Todavia, 2023); Lutas e metamorfoses de uma mulher (Todavia, 2023) and Mudar: método (Todavia, 2024).
