Jefferson Tenório

Jeferson Tenório was born in Rio de Janeiro in 1977. He holds a PhD in Literary Theory from PUC-RS and was a visiting professor of Literature at Brown University in the United States. He made his debut in fiction with the novel O beijo na parede (Sulina, 2013), chosen as the Book of the Year by the Gaucho Writers Association. After Estela sem Deus (Zouk, 2018/ Companhia da Letras, 2022), published O avesso da pele (Companhia das Letras, 2020), a novel that won the Jabuti Prize, and whose rights have been negotiated to be translated into Portugal, Italy, England, France, Sweden, China, Belgium, Slovakia and the United States.
