Mariana Solomon Carrara

Mariana Salomão Carrara was born in São Paulo in 1986. She is a writer and public defender. She made her literary debut with the novel Idílico (EI, 2007), then published the volume of short stories Delicada uma de nós (Off-Flip, 2015). She also wrote the novels Fadas e copos no canto da casa (Quintal Edições, 2017), Se deus me chamar não vou (Nós, 2019), nominated for the Jabuti Award, and É sempre a hora da nosssa morte amém (Nós, 2021), also nominated for the Jabuti Prize and finalist of the São Paulo Literature Prize. Published in 2022, Não fossem as sílabas do sábado (Todavia) was the winner of the São Paulo Literatura Prize. In 2024, when she comes to Flip, the author launches A árvore mais sozinha do mundo (Todavia).
